Only a few days left to qualify for this years WSOP. There is still lots of cheap ways to qualify at Full Tilt Poker, Bodog and PokerStars. If you are not going to play the WSOP you can always bet on the outcome. UK bookmakers have laid odds on the WSOP Main Event winner. Phil Ivey is the front-runner at 150-1. Daniel Negreanu is not too far behind at 225-1. Annie Duke is the only woman listed in the odds at 500-1, along with her pal Erik Seidel and a plethora of other pros. But the Main Event have been very hard to predict last years. The winner will probably be some totally unknown player.
The Main Event will begin on Thursday, July 3, 2008. The nine players, who reach the final table in the Main Event, this year, will have to wait four months before playing the final table. Tournament organizers will now stop the tournament when it reaches the final table, which will be concluded in November and televised within half a day of the time it ends. If something happens to a finalist that precludes him from participate in November, his chip stack will be blinded off.
