Sit and Go Tournaments
A popular tournament format is the sit and go. They run 24 hours a day and most of them start as soon as the table of ten is filled. Entry fees range from $1 to $1000, which buys you 1000-2000 in tournament chips. Blinds start low but rise rapidly, about every 10 hands or so, and the tournament pays the top tree places. The proper strategy for sit and go is to play very conservative in the early rounds and then very loose aggressive in the later. In round 1-3 you should only risk your stack if your advantage is very big. You can call with suited connectors and small pairs only if you can come in real cheap. Don’t risk your stack in the early rounds. In round four the blinds are big relatively to stack sizes and now you have to start playing hard. The concept is to steal blinds. The player who steals the most will probably have the best chances to win. If you are first to enter the pot you should raise with almost any hand. Most of the time everybody folds. If you are re raised fold everything but your good hands.
