Bodog becomes BodogLife.com.

One day about a month ago Bodogs website suddenly went down. Many people thought it was just technical issues, but later on in a statement from Bodog, the entertaining and gambling giant said that they where temporary mowing all their web based activities to a new domain newbodog.com.
US Company, 1st Technology LLC filed a lawsuit in the State of Washington against Bodog for patent infringement awhile back. Bodog didn’t respond because they are not a US company. So a judge awarded a default judgment of 50 million, and the company used it to seize control of Bodogs domain names.
Now one month later Bodog has again moved to a new domain, bodoglife.com, this time Bodog say its permanent.
But Bodog is continuing to aggressively respond to the lawsuit filed against them. The two sides are scheduled to meet in a Nevada Court on October 11th, 2007. This court date will focus on the default judgment handed down by a court in Washington State.
In his blog, Bodog founder Calvin Ayre seems confident regarding the outcome of the lawsuit but confirms that Bodog not will go back to their old domain.
” We believe this ridiculous decision will be overturned and all the domains will be freed. However they will not be returned to their previous roll of prominence in Bodogs operating entities as this roll will be taken by the new BodogLife.com structure from here forward.”
Bodogs customers will not be affected by these domain problems. At Bodog, its business as usual. Same great site, just a new Web address.
